Notes:
The Town of Madisonville owns the lighthouse. The keeper's house was moved two miles up the river to the Madisonville Boat Yard, then in April 2004 it was moved another 250 feet to the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum. The museum is working to restore the lighthouse, and they hope to restore the keeper's house and move it back to its original position next to the lighthouse. First, funding must be found to build a protective wall near the lighthouse. The Town of Madisonville has plans to build a pier for access to the lighthouse.
