The Little River Light Station in Cutler was recently listed as one of the ten most endangered historic properties in the State of Maine. Now under the auspices of the American Lighthouse Foundation, (ALF) a nonprofit Maine corporation, the abandoned light, which has been dark for over 21 years, is in the process of being saved and restored. The Friends of Little River has been formed to assist in the fund raising for restoration and to become the caretakers of the light station when restoration is complete.
