The Lighthouse Inn West Dennis, MA 02670 Ph # 508-398-2244. The Lighthouse Inn is the former 1850 Bass River Lighthouse which forms the center part of the expansive inn. The lantern room protrudes from the roof of the main building and it is not the typical lighthouse. Ocean front swimming, pool, nightly entertainment during season and convention and banquet rooms are available.

Point Montara Lighthouse, P.O. Box 737, Montara, CA 94037 Ph# 415-728-7177. Located 25 miles from San Francisco this is operated by Hosteling International. Fees vary by season. There are 6 to 8 beds per room and you must rent linens and bring your own food.

Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Pigeon Point Rd & California Highway 1, Pescadaro, CA 94060 Ph# 415-879-0633. Located 50 miles south of San Francisco and operated by Hosteling International. Rates $11 per person subject to change. Bring your own food and linens.

Tibbetts Point Lighthouse Hostel, RR 1 Box 330, Cape Vincent, NY 13618 Ph #315-654-3450 Rates are $13.00 per day subject to change. You must bring your own food and linens. Closed Oct 25 to May 14. Call for brochure.

Point Arena Lighthouse, P.O. Box 11, Point Arena, CA 95468 Ph # 707-882-2777. Rates are $80.00 per couple and you must bring your own linens and food. Call for brochure.

Big Bay Point Lighthouse, 3 Lighthouse Road, Big Bay Michigan 49808 Ph# 906-345-9957. Located thirty miles from Marquette with a vista of Lake Superior and the Huron Mountains. No television or room phones. Continental breakfast, cereal, pancakes and eggs. Open year round. Rates $80 to $100 in winter and $95 to $165 in season. Call for brochure.

Rose Island Lighthouse, P.O. Box 1419, Newport, RI 02840 Ph# 401-847-4242 Rates around $140 plus cost of boat launch to the island. No electricity and water comes from a cistern. Shower is available outdoors via two gallons of solar heated water. Augmented continental breakfast is served. Call for more details.

The Keepers House, Box 26, Isle au Haut, Maine 04645 Ph #207-367-2261 Open May 1 to Oct 31. Located in Acadia National Park via a 45 minute ride on the mail boat to the island. No electricity or phone, serves three exquisite meals per day. Rooms are furnished with antique period furniture. Rates are $250-300 per couple per night. Call for brochure.

East Brother Light Station, 117 Park Place, Richmond, CA 94801 Ph # 510-233-2385 Located on an island in the straits separating San Francisco and San Pablo Bays the 1873 lighthouse is fully restored with beautiful furnishings. Guest are served a four course dinner with wine and a full breakfast. Open Thursday-Saturday. Rates are around $300. per couple per night. Call for color brochure.

Selkirk Lighthouse, P.O. Box 228, Pulaski, NY 13142 Ph # 315-298-6688. Thirty minutes from Syracuse, NY on Interstate 81. Set up for housekeeping. Call for brochure.

Chesapeake Bay Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast, 1423 Sharps Point Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 Ph# 410-757-0248 Although this is not a real lighthouse it is a replica of Thomas Point Light. Offers continental breakfast, private bathrooms, off street parking, air conditioning, water view from every room. Rates are $75-$85 per night.

Popham Beach Bed & Breakfast, HC31-Box 430, Popham Beach, Phippsburg, Maine 04562. Although this is not a lighthouse we felt that it should be included. It was constructed in 1883 as a U. S. Life Saving Station and became a Coast Guard Station in 1935 when the U.S. Life Saving Service became the U.S. Coast Guard. In 1939 the U. S. Lighthouse Service was discontinued and merged into the U.S. Coast Guard. Open from early May to late October. A sumptuous breakfast is included with the room.

West Point Lighthouse, O'Leary, RR2, Prince Edward Island, C0B 1V0, Canada Ph# 902-859-3605 or 902-859-3117 Nine guest rooms with private baths, two with whirlpool, furnished to recreate the era of the lightkeeper. Rooms may be rented individually or with package plans. This is a real lighthouse located at the southwest tip of Prince Edward Island an hour from the Borden Ferry Terminal.

Smithfield Light, 415 S. Church St. P.O. Box 486, Smithfield, VA 23431 Ph # 804-874-7700. Although this is not a real lighthouse it is a authentically constructed Chesapeake Bay style lighthouse located in historic Smithfield, VA. Features two luxury suites offering elegant indulgences and fabulous views of the Pagan River.

Fargo Blanco Marine Resort, 1966 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL 33050 Ph # 305-743-9018. Not a real lighthouse, however it is a private aid to navigation. Lighthouse has two two-bedroom apartments, one with fully equipped kitchen. Rent $160 per night and $1050 per week from Labor Day to December 19 or $175. per night and $1100 per week the rest of the year.

Amelia Island Replica Lighthouse, 584 S. Fletcher Av. Amelia Island, FL 32034. Ph # 904-261-5878 Located a few miles south of the original lighthouse in Fernandina Beach, this structure was built for personal use as beach house. Four levels with two bedrooms, two baths, living room and kitchen and top floor observation deck. Rates are $110. per night for two people or $125. for four. Continental breakfasts delivered from the 1735 House, a nearby country inn.
