The clock corners feature the famous lighthouses at Cape Hatteras, NC; Barnegat, NJ; Assteague, VA and Portland Head, Maine. the tide portion is for areas where there are semidiurnal tides -(two high and two low tides per day, each of approximate equal heights) for the Atlantic coast and certain areas of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.
