Growing up in a landlocked state isn't exactly what you'd expect from a lighthouse enthusiast. My first love of lighthouses started when a friend of mine and I started talking about living in a lighthouse when we got older. We drew floorplans, sketches and even arranged furniture in our imaginary lighthouse. My first up close and personal experience with a lighthouse was with the lighthouse at Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego CA. I had begun attending college at Point Loma Nazarene College and would often go to the lighthouse down on the end of the point to collect my thoughts and find some peace.
