So far I have only had the opportunity to visit Great Lakes Lighthouses but soon hope to begin on the East Coast. The one that I am very intrigued in seeing is the Alcatraz Lighthouse.

Hi Welcome to my lighthouse profile. Since the loss of my husband earlier this year, I have visited and photographed approximately 60-70 lighthouses. The joy has been in the experiences with friends in finding the lighthouses. Each one is different with a very interesting history. Have seen two of the remaining three "bird cage lighthouses". My most favorite (if it's possible to pick ONE) is Old Presque Isle Lighthouse on Michigan's east coast/lake Erie. Close second's are Little Sable and Big Sable. Actually they are all majestically great, their beacon just seems to be calling.
