Have loved the sea, and this includes lighthouses. Always felt a connection with Eastern Long Island and New England; later learned that indeed some of my forebears came from there. Have never forgotten a trip to Orient Point,Long Island, where Great and Little Peconic Bays meet, and also Montauk Lighthouse. On both occasions wanted to stay forever.
