I was born in New London, Connecticut, a couple of miles from the water and the two famous lighthouses there, New London Harbor and New London Ledge. I collect items featuring those two lighthouses as well as Thomas Point, MD (my favorite), Cape Hatteras, and Alcatraz. I would like to take a "lighthouse tour" vacation to see all of the lighthouses in the areas of Connecticut, Maryland, Maine, and Rhode Island. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have as far as a route to take and a time of year to go. (Preferably when the lighthouses are open to public visits. I have seen both Connecticut lighthouses, but I have never been inside either of them.)
