I have loved lighthouses since early adolescence when I read the books about the lighthouses in Ga. I would love to spend the night in a lighthouse. I have only been fortunate enough to climb one lighthouse so far. I climbed the one at Pensacola, Fla. My daughter who is an United States Marine was stationed at the Penscacola Naval Base. We visited and I climbed to the top. It was so breathtaking, especially to imagine what it was like in the old days when the lighthouse was actually still in use.
